It's been about a month since i've stepped foot into Pavillion so I finally went down yesterday afternoon after lunch with Zam and Shams. Totally last minute but we managed. Watched the fashion show for a while, got bored, walked around, ate, walked around some more and then got home. Talk about a lazy Sunday but anywho, I'm not complaining. Came home feeling super tired but still managed to stay up till 1.30am to talk to Jo, William, Summer, Shin and work on today's public speaking text. School was so tiring today and we didn't do anything except learn about salts during Chem. I'm tucking in early tonight, my eyes need sleep.











P.s the clothes were not intentional. swear.

Here's to pain

I owe this blog a massive update about everything that's been going on. Not like there's been that much but life's been productive at the very least.

CBL week is finally over which means I'll never be stepping into McDonalds at 7 in the morning ever again to buy a McValue meal. But anyway, for CBL, I did. Was part of the solution video and I had no obligations to making fast food look bad because fast food IS bad. And in any case, I hardly eat McDonalds. So finally after 5 days of hard work and unnecessary stress, it's over. Research paper, done. Solution video, done. And for once, my group actually complained about the 1200 word limit. It wasn't enough, surprisingly but we managed. And on a side note, iMovie is so gay. Our movie got deleted twice. But all in all, it was really fun working with my group. Definitely a challenge but fun, nevertheless.

Leadership Night was last week as well. November 4th.
I remember the first Leadership Night I attended back in 2006. I watched my brother say his oath and get his tie and I remember Nick Quah's speech that year, amazing. Then Leadership Night 2007. Khairy was the guest speaker that year, another memorable speech. Last year was my brother's final Leadership Night. I watched him step out of the board and wondered if it was going to be the last Leadership Night my parents would ever attend. So finally this year, it was my turn to go on stage to receive my tie and say my oath. The day started out with leaving Dsara at 1.30 for Cheras. It was like Commencements all over again except this time, I sat on the bus as a profect not a probate. So we arrived at 2, rehearsed till' 3.30 and then got ready. Had our last perbarisan with Sandra and Sien Yi after dinner and then it was off to the hall. The ceremony officially started around 8.30pm and everyone got their ties and scrolls after Dr Rizal's address. Penguins no more ! Anyway, the night ended around 11pm and was super tired after. After the group photo was taken, all I did was yawn and yawned till' I got home. And to top it off, there was school the next day, more CBL.

So to end the week, I finally got to catch up with Summer and Zane. It's been a month, no wait longer than that and also, got to satisfy my craving for roti planta after school on Friday with Nicholas and Bhud. I know, totally random but I just felt like it and I spent today afternoon at KL (finally), with Shams and Zam. Proper update on that later. I need a shower.

All the pieces of you

The last week of October was undeniably hard but it's finally November so yay ! Here's to another month and a month closer to the end of 2009 !

School last week was rather boring. Hardly anyone showed up, only 5 came on Wednesday. Horrible. But anyway, attended the CF barbeque potluck dinner on Friday at Audrey's apartment. It rained which made it cold and obviously wet so no barbeque. Instead we dined alfresco style in the dark with candles which helped us get around. Worship after and left right before 11.

Got up super early on Saturday morning to head over to Shams place because it's been too long. Bummed around in her room with button till' 10.30 to head to Ou for Zanmai and Time Travellers Wife ! The movie was too good. 2 months of waiting, definitely worth it. Won't explain the rest of the day other than we ended up at Bukit Jalil in the evening and Ampang at night. Full day for me and got home feeling so tired. Yesterday was prefects social at Cheras. Had tons of fun, getting to know the Cheras board, playing games, aimlessly dancing haha, and of course, food ! Definitely can't wait for Leadership night to see everyone again. 2 more days ! Attended service after and finally home.

My weekend has been packed full, just the way I like it. Distractions are good at this point. This week's gonna be productive, again, good ! CBL, Leadership Night and Public Speaking Competition. Till' then, this seems sufficient, as far as an update goes. Night !

Sixteen ; Whatever it takes

October is coming to a closing and I can safely say that it has been the worst month for me yet.
Finals, stress, tears, sleepless nights among other things.

Last week Thursday & Friday was spent at Cheras and CILC and on Saturday, Melinda was nice enough to get me out of the house and take me go-karting with the Yana and the boys at Shah Alam. Although it was my first time and I was completely clueless because the guy did not brief me at all, it was fun. Nothing tragic happened other than the fact that Iwawan and Rauf almost crashed into me. Not cool. All of us headed to Ou later and I did the things I'd normally do at Ou. Saturday night was horrible. I had a nightmare and woke up at 7.30am on a Sunday morning. Bad, really bad. Slept in for another 2 hours, did lunch and went back to sleep at 2pm for another 2 hours. Attended evening service at Calvary and sat in for a really powerful sermon. I call on God more these days.

To Shammie, Summer and Melinda. Thank you for helping me get through the past few days. For catching me, checking up on me on a daily basis and hearing me out whenever. To everyone else, thank you for caring, for asking, for making sure. It's times like these, no?

The bad kind

June 2008, I don't ever want to forget this month. Ever. The coffee, the movie, the studio, flight of the concords, clams and everything else we will miss. I promised you, everyday of forever and I don't plan on breaking it. Thank you for giving me back my happiness, you're the only one that could and that still can. I love you.
